Equipped with multi-modal, high-precision, real-time positioning (RTLS) and comprehensive audio-visual telecommunications, this ergonomically designed hardhat essentially transforms a regular worker to a connected worker.

Making use of Industrial Internet of things (IoT) related technologies, we have partnered with Guardhat to provide a safety platform that consists of wearable devices, infrastructure, and software.The system works together to detect and communicate dangerous conditions and monitor assets including the most valuable of all: workers.

Simple User Interface

Buttons and LEDs are located on the underside of the brim for ease of access and visibility. LEDs indicate events along with various audible alerts.

Buttons can be used to place / answer a call for direct communication.Additional LEDs located on the outside of the hard hat can alert nearby personnel to possible hazardous conditions and a button on the brim can be used to capture an image. Buttons and LEDs can be customized for a number of events including:

Smart Tag - Scout

Real-time tracking, real time accountability You have hundreds of workers onsite, can you reach them immediately in an emergency? Can you ensure that only authorized personnel enter restricted zones on your work site? Can your workers send you a distress signal if they need help? Are you notified immediately if one of your workers has a fall or if there is a man-down situation on your site? Can you prevent collisions on your worksite?

Example: Toxic Spill

The combination of devices and software can be applied in an infinite number of customizable scenarios. These are only a small sample of the possibilities. A worker sends an image or video of a spill to the SCC. A safety officer uses this information to set a lockout boundary. Workers inside the boundary are alerted to evacuate. Workers approaching the boundary are alerted to change course. This is done automatically once the lockout area is established via the easy to use user-interface.

Example: Fallen Worker

The wearable device detects a rapid drop in altitude. This is interpreted as a fall and alerts the SCC and nearby workers. A safety officer attempts to contact the affected worker and does not receive a response. He or she then remotely activates a video call from the worker's device to assess the situation. When the worker continues to be nonresponsive, the safety officer sends a request for help. Nearby workers are alerted to the request. The fallen worker is easily located.
